Harm Reduction in the Digital Age

Wednesday 3rd June 2026, Sophia Gardens Cricket Ground, Cardiff

We are thrilled to announce our theme for our 2026 conference, ‘Harm Reduction in the Digital Age’. Digital innovation within the substance use field is ever increasing, and evolving, and we are excited to provide a space to showcase some of the latest and innovative developments. From the use of AI to detect potential overdoses, to current research into the use of virtual reality as a treatment tool, our conference will be exploring a range of innovation, all aiming to continually reduce harm experienced by people affected by substance use.

On the day

Please arrive at the main entrance via Gate 5. Registration will open from 9.30am for refreshments with the conference and welcoming address commencing at 10.00am. The conference will end at 16.00pm. Please bring your confirmation email with you, preferably digitally to help us reduce our use of paper. There is limited parking available at the venue (at Gate 5), but please be considerate of the environment and car share where you can. Please see ‘How to get to Sophia Gardens and parking’ below, for more information. There will be a buffet lunch and refreshments breaks during the conference.

All tickets can be purchased via our Eventbrite page, via the button below. If booking on someone else’s behalf, please ensure you complete the order form with their details. Ticket sales end on Tuesday 19th May 2026, unless otherwise stated.

  • Early bird ticket (available until 31st March 2026) – £80 per person
  • General sale ticket (available from Wednesday 1st April) – £100 per person
  • Group booking of 5 – 9 people – £90 per person
  • Group booking of 10 or more people – £85 per person

Parking

Public car parking is available in the Sophia Gardens Pay and Display car park situated within Sophia Close. Parking is limited at the venue. Please see other public parking options below:

By Road

From London – Travel time is approximately 3 hours via the M4 Westbound.

From Birmingham – Travel time is approximately 2.5 hours via M5 Southbound and then the M4 Westbound.

From the East – Exit the M4 at Junction 29 and follow the A48M towards Llandaff. Join Cardiff Road. The stadium is situated off Sophia Close which is on Cathedral Road.

From the West – Exit the M4 at Juntion 33. Follow the A4232 for 6.2 miles and exit on the slip road onto Leckwith Road. Follow the A4161 and then turn left onto Cathedral Road (A4119). Turn right onto Sophia Close where the Stadium is situated.

Satellite Navigation Users – Enter postcode as CF11 9XR providing parking has been pre-arranged

By Bus

Cardiff Bus services run regularly between Cardiff Central Station and Cathedral Road (adjacent to Sophia Gardens Cardiff)

Routes going via Cathedral Road include:

  • Number 25 Circular Service to Llandaff North and North Road
  • Number 62 Service to Llandaff, Danescourt, Pentrebane, Fair Water & Canton.
  • Number 63 service Ffordd Berllan, Central Station, Radyr to Llandaff.

By Train

Cardiff Central Train Station is approximately a 25 minute walk from Sophia Gardens.
