Introducing VERVE
The single-access substance use support service for adults, children and young people in Neath, Port Talbot and Swansea. VERVE Substance Use Support is a new integrated alliance approach which brings together a range of substance use services under one name: VERVE.

If you have previously referred or supported people to access substance use services delivered by Adferiad, Barod, Platfform or G4S within Neath, Port Talbot and Swansea, these will now be delivered by VERVE. All new referrals for people who fall under the Neath Port Talbot and Swansea Drug and Alcohol Leadership Board will be taken through the VERVE pathway from 1 June 2026.

Current service users do not need to do anything; however, they will be introduced to VERVE workers during a staggered roll-out. In many cases this will continue to be the same worker. VERVE Substance Use Support will create simple, accessible and collaborative long-term pathways to recovery and resilience from drugs and alcohol.

VERVE has been commissioned by the Neath Port Talbot and Swansea Drug and Alcohol Leadership Board to deliver a single-access substance service for the next 10 years. VERVE is an alliance made up of Adferiad, Barod, Kaleidoscope, The Wallich, and Neath Port Talbot and Swansea Drug and Alcohol Leadership Board.

From 1st June you can contact VERVE at verve.cymru or alternatively phone 0300 7904044.
