With restrictions associated to the coronavirus lockdown starting to be gradually eased and young people heading back to school, all of our young persons services remain open. If you are affected by your own, or someone else’s substance use, we are here and ready to support you. If you or someone you know would like support, simply get in touch with your local young persons team (details below) and a friendly voice will be able to help you in accessing confidential information, advice and support.
All of our young persons services recognise that the lockdown may have had different, yet significant, impressions upon young people whether it be isolation, impact upon mental health or maybe even a positive experience. As restrictions start to ease, we also recognise that there is a risk of young people, whether they have previous experience or not, of using substances, especially as parties and social gatherings start to occur.
With the potential use of substances in mind, there are many ways that harm associated to such risky behaviour can be significantly reduced. Keep an eye out on all of our social media channels and the separate Facebook, Twitter and Insta pages for our Young Persons Services, for up-to-date content and harm reduction messages.
You can also check out our YouTube channel where you access various harm reduction messages and visuals to help make more informed and safer choices. Alternatively, you can download service contact details in the ‘Download’s’ section below and access our English and Welsh YouTube playlists via the ‘External Links’ section below.
