Our annual art competition is back for its fifth year. The Mike Parry Art Award, since it was established in 2019 in memory of a former colleague, has received countless pieces of art that have not only represented the theme of competition for that respective year, but also showcased the incredible talent of many people who have accessed substance use services in Wales.
This year’s theme is ‘Solidarity’ and as ever, is open to interpretation and whatever that means for each person. We accept all forms of art, from paintings and drawings to music and film, and everything else in between. As with previous years, we have 3 categories, with prizes for the top 3 in each: Young People (under 18); Adults; and Group. The competition is open to anyone who has accessed substance use services, past or present, anywhere in Wales.
