VERVE is the new name of drug and alcohol services in Swansea, Neath, and Port Talbot, as of 1st June 2026.
VERVE has been commissioned by the Neath Port Talbot and Swansea Drug and Alcohol Leadership Board to deliver a single-access substance service for the next 10 years. VERVE is an alliance made up of Adferiad, Barod, Kaleidoscope, The Wallich, and Neath Port Talbot and Swansea Drug and Alcohol Leadership Board.

Additionally you can submit a referral via Barod’s Live Webchat, Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.
If you are supported with drugs or alcohol by Adferiad, Barod, or G4S, the name of the service supporting you will change to VERVE.
You do not need to do anything; however, you will be introduced to VERVE workers in the coming months – it may even be the same person, just under a different project name.
Your support will continue, but it may look a little bit different as we bring in new, collaborative ways of working with you, based on evidence of what works.
