Friday 13th December marks ‘Welsh Overdose Awareness Day’, an opportunity to raise awareness of overdose, how to reduce the risk and what can be implemented to help mitigate against various issues associated to drug-related overdoses, here in Wales.
Below, there are a variety of social media posts, both in English and Welsh, available for you to download and use on your own platforms, to show your support for Welsh Overdose Awareness Day, as well as help raise awareness.
Another way to help reduce overdose in Wales is to carry Naloxone. Naloxone is a life-saving medication that temporarily reverses the effects of an opioid overdose. You can order your free naloxone kit via our Naloxone Click and Deliver Service, and get it delivered to anywhere in Wales.
An additional way to help reduce overdose in Wales is to be aware of, download, and spread the word of our ‘Blueprint for a more equal and prosperous Wales for people who use substances’. Some of our social media posts below, under the tab ‘I/ We support…’ allows you to show your support for harm reduction interventions that we believe, if implemented, could help reduce the risk of overdose and threat to life.
Don’t forget when marking the day on social media, to use the hashtag #WOAD24.
