Group support in Dyfed

SMART Recovery is a mutual aid group that aims to empower people with practical skills, tools and support so that they may manage their addictive behaviour and lead satisfying and meaningful lives. For more information about SMART Recovery, please click here.

Our SMART Recovery groups takes place on:

Carmarthenshire

Wednesdays 5 – 7pm (1-3 Vaughan St, Llanelli SA15 3TY)

Fridays 10.30 – 12pm (1-3 Vaughan St, Llanelli SA15 3TY)

Pembrokeshire

Tuesdays 1.30 – 3pm (Allied House, Ebenezer Row, Haverfordwest SA61 2JP)

Our mindfulness group aims to provide individuals the opportunity to pause and reset within a calm and supportive space.

This is an abstinence based group, we do not discuss substances in group. It’s divided into 2 parts, first hour is learning new skills such as dealing with difficult emotions, activity planning, communication styles etc. Second hour is more free flowing / non-structured and the rational for this is about learning to socialise without substances, which often if something people in recovery really struggle with. Again, this is peer led by our volunteers.

A peer led social group where individuals can enjoy a coffee and a ‘natter’ while gaining informal support.
